Sébastien
Lefèvre’s experience in the field of Interior Design and Architecture began
at the age of eighteen when he was given the project of designing a large
property on the shores of Brazil. This project awarded him the Corine Ward
Fleming Scholarship based on academic excellence and outstanding
portfolio.
Although his formal education originated briefly in South America, this
award took him to Georgia, United States. He attended
The Savannah College of Art and Design
a college nominated first among the country’s interior design programs in
DesignIntelligence's
2008 survey of America's Best Architecture and Design Schools. Throughout
his higher education he attends many Interior Design and Art History classes
to ultimately graduate Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in the Architecture.
He comes to share the belief Architecture is "Mother of all
the Arts" thus a solid foundation for him to successfully embrace the
Design World professionally.
Soon after graduation Mr. Lefèvre joined as an Associate Partner Fredrick
Miley Designs and Benita McConnell Interiors in San Francisco and Marin
County, California. As the leading design Architect he undertook a wide
range of high-end architectural and interior residential commissions
throughout the Bay Area.
In 2002 he joins two additionally well established Houses of Design, The
Grebmeier Group and Kensington Associates. As a Principal Designer he
undertakes multi-million dollar residential projects expanding his knowledge
in the field of lighting and furniture design.
After ten professional years in the field,
Mr. Lefèvre's international background, education and prominent work has him
ultimately well recognized in the Bay Area. After working with some of the
industries most esteemed designers in the United States he relocates to
Canada in 2007 where he establishes his practice in Vancouver, BC.
He leads a distinguishable Team of Associates and Artisans in both
California and British Columbia who all share his keen interest in the
finest of materials, preservation of antiques and respect for architectural
integrity. Today they create some of the most outstanding projects
Worldwide.
